|Recommended: YesBrookland Apts — Office is available to answer my questions or help, and always super friendly.
|Recommended: YesNice place to live near downtown Columia — I'm a week into my lease and everything has been great so far. The best part of living here has been the responsiveness of the leasing office. They are always available to answer questions and help out in any way they can.
|Recommended: NoFew years of looking in zillow — I was tired of owning a home and doing all the maintenance so I moved into these very nice apartments that were pretty new. Everybody I dealt with a super nice, staff always did a great job and helped me out anytime I asked for it.
I had a hole cut in my wall for almost 6 months total because there's a reoccurring leak in the wall. If you go for a swim in the pool you're pretty much on stage for about 40 of the balconies in the building, and it's not really much larger than what someone in Florida would have in their backyard. The walls and ceilings are thin, it's hard to not be a stomper honestly. Most of my upstairs neighbors woke me up with some form of nonsense frequently when wasn't that it was a year and a half of drilling and cranes taking up the entire parking lot next to the building starting early in the morning and continuing straight through my work from home day. After the 5th or 6th Saturday morning at 7 00 in the morning getting woken up after working late I knew I was done. To be fair the office staff did something about it once it was brought to their attention. If you work from home and you stay here get a high floor, buy some rugs to be a good neighbor to those below, on fire alarm test days bring your laptop to the office or a Starbucks for the whole day - don't forget your dog too, and if you order doordash...you're going to chase them down in the parking lot because it's 1 for 20 they find the building or your apartment. Can't tell you why but it's how it is.
For the price, sell yourself on being close to the river, the couple restaurants and 2 grocery stores in walking distance.
|Recommended: YesPraise to Brookland — I have lived at Brookland for a month now and appreciate every aspect of the community The location is top tier, and the office staff and maintenance staff ensure the community is taken care of, the area is clean, and you feel welcomed when in need of assistance or just a conversation. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone in my network.
|Recommended: YesLove the Brookland — Recently moved into the Brookland and I have had a wonderful experience throughout the entire process. Love my unit, great staff, great area
|Recommended: YesGood spot to live — Great place to live. Only issue is people don’t pick up after their dogs.
|Recommended: YesReview — Nice apartments…parking is awful. Vehicles with no parking stickers take up parking spaces. Dogs below me start barking around 6am.
|Recommended: YesEasy, worry-free apartment — Great place to live. Feels very safe and could not be in a better location for proximity to groceries, restaurants, and the Riverwalk.
|Recommended: YesJust moved in — I just moved in to Brookland and already I am very satisfied
|Recommended: NoNA — The ten here is too expensive I have to live here for awhile for the level of noise and all the lights that are on at night and shine into apartments.
Lorraine and the maintenance staff are wonderful and always have been since I moved in 2021. The office staff has changed without really letting us know who the new folks are.
|Recommended: YesBest apartment living in the Columbia area — I have been living here for almost 2 years and the amenities, community areas, and support staff could not be any more convenient and friendly. Restaurants and river walk park all across the street
|Recommended: YesNew Resident — The agents were kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful The walk-thru’, grounds and modernized layout made the decision easy
|Recommended: YesAwesome — I love living here and the office staff is amazing along with the views. Short walks to anything you might need.
|Recommended: NoI hope things will improve. — Good morning. I have been a resident since March 2020. At that time the property was in good condition. However, it has not been maintained. The walls need to be repainted in the hallways and lounge areas. The lounge area in building 2000 could use some refreshing.
With the ongoing construction, the landscaping around the property that is not being worked on has declined. Also, the construction goes on past 5 pm. The other night there were people out there past 8 pm. If this is going to be an ongoing thing someone should have the common courtesy to inform residents. I don't want to spend my evenings listening to it. The rent should be discounted until construction comes to an end.
I am greatly concerned about the parking with the new building. As it is now the parking area has been taken over by construction. They are parking large vehicles everywhere. I moved my car under the slip deck and my vehicle was broken into. When the police and I brought that to the attention of the office they made me feel there was nothing they could do.
I am aware when they are gone there will be parking but the spaces will go to the new residents. There should be gates added or towing enforced on daily basis for non-residents that park in our spaces. I am concerned that I will not be able to find parking once construction ends. I don't want to park on the public street. We should have an assigned space. Some guarantee we will have somewhere to park.
I feel horrible for the two individuals that manage this large property by themselves. They need help If they had it these things could be addressed.
It would be nice if they held a community meeting. Meet with the tenants and listen to our concerns. We pay a lot to live here. This used to be somewhere I wanted my friends and family to visit. I don't feel that way anymore.
|Recommended: YesBrolove — Love living here At this time, they are currently building a new building so it is very busy Just a few more months and all will be beautiful
